It sounds like a carb problem. Remove it, desassemble it, clean it, make sure the brass jet are well fixed and that everything is in place...
Nothing to do with the timing chain usually...

2007 toyota Tundra I have a engine rattle going up though the gears. And it a automatic transmission

Tons of possibilities. If it has enough mileage (or a problem) and a timing chain (4.0L has a chain, 4.7L has a belt, not sure on the 5.7L), you can get an odd rattle from a timing chain tensioner that has gone south (revving creates more centrifugal force, pushing the chain outward, and you hear either link noise due to slackness or the chain slapping against something). That, or a much more serious valve train issue, should be the worst possibilities, but I would start by getting one of those 'stethoscope' tools and having someone rev the engine up and down while you (very carefully!) place it on different parts until you isolate the source of the noise. I wouldn't let that go for very long, though. If it is in the valve train or timing chain, it can get more expensive in a hurry. Hope not, for your sake.

2001 estima t idles rough when started

Hi, if it sounds like a tractor and is feeling rough and less powerful than normal, my guese is the timing chain guide (possibly top guide) has come loose. If you can get van over a pit, on jack stands or on hoist and while engine is running, the noise will be louder at front of engine by the timing chain housing, you could also feel the guides rattling, hence the tractor noise. As the engine is revved to higher RPM's the chain vibrates faster and the guide is forced off the chain so the noise lesson's. Parts are available, but before ordering parts you will have to disassemble timing chain housing and check the guide bolt thread on engine side are not threaded, otherwise re-threading the hole and finding the right bolts to fit guide plates can be a nightmare, but you can use helicoil, which expensive but effective. Check also the housing, it may have wear marks due to guides rubbing on it which is not a problem, but as oil circulates through it you wouldnt want it to leak out.
Hope this helps.

Looking for Timing Chain Guide

Check with Auto Zone if no...see the Dealer but also check the camshaft gear sprocket...if its composite you may need to replace it as well...this also causes chains to rattle and jump.

Rattle in front of engine when running. Was told may be timing chain? 160,000+ miles no service history

I had a nasty 'rattle' in the front of my engine on an older truck of mine (around 190,000 miles) and it was the timing chain. The guide for the chain had broken and caused my timing chain to rub against the front cover and start eating it's way out (the rattle). Got it fixed, new chain and replaced the front cover as well and everything is fine. Good luck, I hope this helps.
