Aprillia Mx 125 Issue.

Hey Guys,
I have a problem with my mx 125 (07 modle) not hitting the powerband.

I have had the bike 3 days and just managed to get on it yesterday, it was all working fine hitting powerband and was flying. Then a car pulled out on me and I had to brake hard causing my bike to cut out (maybe I didn't pull in the clutch). Anyhow I then kicked it again (first time) and started on my travels, but then when it should be hitting powerband it was coughing and slugging. I looked at the digital clock and it was telling me to change gear (the up and down arrows), so i did and it give a little boost as it dose when changing gear. So i was going 30mph in 4/5th gear.

I have no Idea what so ever what could be wrong.

Thanks,
Matty

Hi I have brourght aprilia mx 125 full power model and on Tick over the revs drop and it cuts out also When Riding it sounds nice then sounds like its missing and when full throttling it powers on then...

Just bought Aprillia mx 125 2006 and had the same issue. Today carb came off and cleaned in petrol then air lined the jets. Whilst carb off have a look at the reed valves, clean also. I removed the SAS valve and uprated air filter and check your rave valve cable and solinoid. She runs great cant wait to get arrow exhaust now. Try wareham Aprillia and ask for Ivan Pearce, he is a legend helped over the phone loads. it is digital or a cable screwed into the back, check that the cable is all the way screwed in, if it is, remove it and make sure the end of the cable is square on both ends.

Aprillia mx 125-v hard to start

dear hard to start first thing to do is to install a new plug and second make sure your choke system is working. you could try to prim the engine by squirting fuel in spark plug hole if fires up right away you have choke problem. that would mean a carb cleaning.

MY TM 125

Hi,

The TM 125 uses 550 ml of gear oil. There is level inspection screw situated behind the rear brake lever. Access is a little tricky, but not too tough.
For racing motocross I recomend ATF, but must be changed after each race day.
For enduro, outriding or Sunday riders, BelRay -Trans Oil 80 W is best. You should change oil roughly every 500 km to prolong gearbox life.

Regards

Jon
