2012 Fatboy lo only now will start in neutral. Try in gear its like no power to start - dead. Switch to neutral starts right up.. This just started happening.. any idea @
Did you replace your clutch lever ?
Sounds like it is operating as it should now. Maybe it was a software update. Why would you want to risk starting it in gear?

There's only 2 more things that I can think of, check the fuse for the ignition, then the computor itself, you did everything else.It might be the problem and may not.

This Too Is A Starter Problem, If >>The Battery Terminals Are Clean <<And >>The Starter Terminals Are Clean and TIGHT <<,I Would Wait Till It Wont Start Again and SMACK THE STARTER 2-3 times with a HAMMER then Try Starting it. If It Starts then it is The Starter. I KNOW this seems A Little UNCONVENTIONAL BUT For 30 Years This Technique Has Diagnosed HUNDREDS of STARTER Problems for me.

take it back to the shop that just did the transmission rebuild and tell them what the problem is
if nothing else they need to fix the shifter not showing the correct gear

Hello,Your car probably has the 4.6 northstar engine.This (phantom stall) condition is usally caused by 1 or both of the Crankshaft position sensors.I have seen this condition quite frequently on your perticular car.I would replace both of the crank sensors and that should do the trick.you might want to take it to a repair shop due the location of the sensors (front lower part of engine near oil filter) Good luck.
