I feel that its the heat regulator solenoid that is faulty as the trip is ok when I disable the regulator.

That does indeed sound like the mag is overheating and the thermostat is tripping, but it's probably not the steam. Do you feel a good amount of air flowing through the vents? If the cooling fan is not running or the air vents are blocked, that wil allow the magnetron to overheat. If air flow is not a problem, then you may have a defective magnetron. Assuming it's still under warranty, it would be best to let a Magic Chef-authorized servicer handle it. If you are not sure what you are doing, call out an engineer and have the job carried out properly with safety testing at the end of the job!

I agree with earlier diagnosis.
It will be the fan element blown.
SOURCE: my dishwasher trips the electicity suply
Hi,
I had the same problem. Rather than pay 'an expert' to come round and try and fix it I thought I'd have a look myself first to see if there was anything obvious. After unplugging, safety first, I went to put it on it's side. As I did so water flowed from the bottom.
After cleaning up and taking the bottom panel off I found there was actually an overflow well at the bottom with a trip switch. There's a float which, if this well fills with water, rises and trips the dishwasher. Now I'm not sure if this trip swtich should just trip the dishwasher only and not the whole house ... so maybe there was another issue related to the water in the well touching something else. However, having emptied the well, tidied and dried things up a bit, put things back together ... it worked.
So ... before paying through the nose to get someone to come out and do this ... try it yourself first.
Please note, I'm not an expert, just someone who wanted to see if I could fix my dishwasher on my own. Just take care making sure your dishwasher is disconnected from the power, I mean totally unplugged before taking things apart. Good luck
