sounds like a poor ground issue, pull out the headlight and check all connections in there, your turn signals are on seperate feeds than the lights but they will probably share the same ground/earth in the headlight
SOURCE: lights bulbs in tach and speedo
The tach and speedo are their own separate unit. There is no changeable light bulb. You may want to check your light and instrument fuses. If those are working, I would remove the outer fairing and check the connections to your tach and speedo.
SOURCE: 99 Chevy Tahoe... Rear turn signals, brake lights, and hazards
I had this problem, and to be honest, it happened to the left side about a week later...it's the board that the bulbs plug into...it's a very common problem with this model. So popular that you can normally get the socket board off the shelf at a parts store! it's extremely simple to replace, and I replaced all the bulbs at the same time!
SOURCE: lights, turn signals, horn don't work
Look for a bad ground connection inside the headlight shell (or possibly elsewhere). The other thing that all of the items you mention that are working intermittently have in common is the ignition switch. With the switch 'on', check for battery voltage at the fuses for the headlight, turn signals, horn, etc. No voltage at the fuses likely means a bad ignition switch.
Testimonial: "quick response to my posted problem. don't know yet if that's the problem, but i've got a good place to start looking. thanks for the help."
SOURCE: tach & speedo not working
Had same problem with my 2000 dodge stratus 2.4 liter and transmission would not shift out of 1st gear. Solution was ignition fuse under the hood was blown, one side of fuse working, replaced 10 am fuse everything works, tach, speedometer, gas gauge and transmission started back to shifting.
