The new triumph bonneville is piece of,,, +++###~~~+++\\\|||***** try every wire and conector in the ignition system. try the voltage at the coil, try the voltage on pin 2 of the igniter pack. make sure it has the full 12+ volts...have you got an alarm/imobaliser, if not,,, try the voltage in and out of the plug that fits the alarm socket, under the seat near the igniter it has 2 jumper wires on it that wil stop the bike running if they get a bit wet or loose. sell the bike as soon as its running and buy a Suzuki Bandit with the cash....l

The igniter pack (CDI) is off being tested at
http://www.TriumphTwinPower.com as of this morning
the chap there seems well up on this particular igniter, its made by Gill electronics and is re mappable, just my luck the post seems to be in dispute now so don't know how long it will take to get it back?
I can't work out how a faulty igniter will burn out a succession of pick or ignition coils though, even if it is faulty? cheers for the help Bob
Check the ohms reading on the leads, should be around 5ohms if nothing at all the spark has to try hard to jump and this blows the coil.
