Hi, I am up against a starting problem. It ran fine, then died for no reason. The engine cranks, but the fuel pump is not running/no pressure.
I took the tank off and bench tested the pump with a battery and it is fine.
put it back on thebike and no pumping/priming noise? Maybe a click?
Tested all the relays offline, all good.
VOM the supply connector and has 12V present?
I had removed the silly Datatool some time ago and looped out the right contacts. Re-checked this and it seems to be something else. Maybe the ECU???
cheers
I've had this same exact problem with my 04 Daytona 955i.. I spent many hours tryin to figure it out. I bought new pump, relay, ignition switch, fuse block, fuel rail, injectors, fuel pressure regulator. Once I had the bike back together for the 500th time I noticed I didn't hear the pump priming whatsoever at this point. Where as before if/when I didn't hear it.. I could shake the bike back and forth and I would hear the pump prime eventually... But anyways I checked the fuses, relay, wires, grounds etc and couldn't find the fault so I thought hell I'm taking that damn thing back for a refund it has to be faulty.. so I take it out and when I unhooked the connecter on the INSIDE of the tank... Low and behold my problem was staring me in the face.. one of the pins in the connecter that's on the back side (on the plate inside the tank) was so corroded it almost disintegrated whenever I attempted to clean it off.. so Instead of tryin to fight with it like I had been doin I ordered a new connector from eBay. I had the part by the morning of the third day and was riding by that afternoon.. so this may be your problem as well or it may not but can't hurt to check it out
Im having the same problem need help also

Hi Ghostride, this was a headscratcher but in the end after checking everything offline. Omitting the alarm and double checking the loop out for the ignition. Still no joy, so I caved in and got a used ECU. Plugged this in and it was fine, has been now for months.
Let me know more details and maybe I can help.
Cheers. Ash
