Started the bike on the choke, whben i went to drive off battery light was flashing. engine cut out bike came to a stop. bought new battery when i was wiring it up, as soon as i connected the last terminal the bike tried turning over even thought the keys wernt in the ignition. sparks and damage to the battery occured.digital display is saying rc?
Have a look at the cables running from ignition lock down towards battery, if wires are fine then most likely fault to the coil.
My yam xt 125 only goes 50mph and should have a top speed of 70mph what could cause this ?
RC = ReCharge, either the battery is bad, or drain, but both can be caused by a continuous short circuit on the bike's coil and the body / battery.
