My 2005 Katana is stalling left and right

My 2005 Katana 600 is stalling left and right. The choke is closed. I've put in dry gas and carburetor cleaner. Nothing has helped. It only has about 15k miles on it.

Has the bike been sitting for any time longer than 4 days? 4 days is enough to clog idle jets. Cleaning the carbs if it has carbs, is the first defense against idle to low rpm stalls. Pull the carbs and clean them out. Definitley will help you out.

Mower will run then starts running bad turn the choke off and it stalls stalls after i choke it also blows gas out of the top of the carburator how do i adjust the vaalvesType your problem for a solut

Using the choke as you did, mentioned in your problem, you have flooded the carburetor. DO NOT USE THE CHOKE,ONCE THE TRACTOR IS RUNNING. Choke is used to start the motor only. When you run with the choke on,the motor gets to much gas and the plug(s) get fowled up and gas comes out of the carburetor. Remember the motor is hot, when gas comes out of the carburetor, the amount of over flow (flooding),could cause a FIRE. Lay off the choke, clean the spark plug(s),they will most likely be fowled up. The filter will be soaked with gas, remove the filter, soak up the gas, using a handy wipe, let filter dry out. Once dry replace filter. You should be good to go. Remember,do not over choke, use when starting a cold motor, usually when motor is hot from running, you may not have to use the choke at all. Hope this helps. Sincerely,Brad Locke

I have a murray push mower 6-22271 briggs straton 4 hp. it start and then stalls . filter clean. choke fully closed when control is in full forwrd run/choke position. I pour gas in the throat and pull...

Your carburetor needs cleaned. It is dirty/has debris in it. If it has a bowl that is. If it has a diaphram (carburetor mounted on the fuel tank), replace the diaphram. They go bad.

I hope this helps get you going.

Cant accel faster than 6000 rpms on my 1999 600 susuki katana or you can say cant go faster than 75-80 mph it starts to stall or bog out i think

Well one area I recommend you to check is the power jets in the carb. Overall check your jettings because you are starving on high end. To test try closing your choke half way and see if that gives you more pull ower over 6K rev. Good enough?

I have a 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 that starts with the choke out but will never warm up. If you turn the choke off it stalls, if you give it gas with the choke on it stalls, If you try to start it...

this sounds more like a fule problem to me, try striping the carbs out and clean all the jets out, also check the fule it reaching the carbs and its not a blocked fule tank or filter as this bike is just not getting any fule to the engine after cleaning the carbs it should run ok, but just to be on the safe side get some cleaner and tip it into the fule tank also

My motorcycle cuts off when i release choke

The pilot jets in the carbs are clogged. This is usually a result of the bike sitting for 30 days or more with gas in the carbs. It evaporates and leaves a substance behind that clogs the pilot jets. The carbs will need to be cleaned to resolve the problem of running on choke and stalling off choke. The pilot jets meter fuel at zero to 1/4 throttle opening.
