you cant download any manuals for the XL125V Varadero due to it not being made by Haynes/Clymer etc due to sold numbers not making it cost effective, unless you want to spend £45-55 on a Honda official manual you'll be looking for ages.

the Oil filter is located on the R/H clutch cover at the front you'll see a small cover on there which is held by three 8mm bolts which if corroded after a while in there can be rounded/snapped off so soak it in WD40/plus-gas first.

its not a cannister filter just a paper cylinder filter make not of the way it goes in and just whack the cover back up.

    job done.

Oil change Honda VT1300 Interstate

Make sure you have a replacement filter and the replacement gasket for the filter case. 4 quarts of oil, either 10w40 or 10w30. A low height pan that can hold more than a gallon and plenty of paper towels.

First, start your bike and let it idle for 2-3 minutes. This will heat the oil and make it more viscous. It will also help to run the oil through the filter and get some of the last remaining impurities out.

Put your bike up on the center stand. If your bike doesn't have a center stand, park the bike with the front wheel on the curb and try to have the bike sitting straight up, not leaning to the side that the kick stand will do.

Find the drain nut toward the front of the oil pan, place the pan underneath both the drain nut and the oil filter. Loosen the drain nut, try to catch it before it falls into the pan. The oil will start to drain. Now loosen the filter holder nut in the center. it will start to drain oil when loose so make sure that oil finds its way into the pan. Keep loosening it till the filter cover comes free. Watch carefully if the filter cover has any guides so you know how it will go back on.

Remove the old filter and wipe it clean. Don't use water. Put the new filter in exactly like the old filter.

When all the oil is drained, reinstall the filter remembering how it was oriented when you took it off. Check the exact specs on oil capacity. Do not add more than specified. Open the oil fill knob, add all but 1 quart of oil. Close the cap, start the bike for 30 seconds and turn it off. Check the oil level and add the remaining oil. Start the bike and run it again for 30 seconds.

Move the bike to flat ground and check the oil again. It should be full. If it's not, start the bike again and let it run for a minute. Check the oil again, it should be good now.

I need to know what the gauge lights mean on my 2002 Honda 954RR i bought it used and didn't get a manual by gauge lights i mean the all the engine warning lights.Thank you in advance.

Should be a neutral light - indicating when you are in neutral, a high beam indicator, turn signal indicator, a oil pressure indicator and maybe a high temp indicator.

I suspect the oil pressure light will be on when the ignition is on but the engine not running - just like in a car. The neutral light ... I use mine as a guide. What I mean is when it is illuminated, I know the lamp works. I am still leary about depending on it 100%, though through the ownership of a 1/2 dozen machines over the past 30+ years, it has not let me down.

There may be other indicaating lights on your motorcycle.

Turn signal lights do not self cancel, BTW, you must press the switch IN to cancel the turn signal.

If you will go to the Honda Riders Club (use your favorite search engine to find it) and join for free, they will let you look at a generic service manual. If you pay the couple buck to join, they will give you access to the service manual for YOUR bike, according to information posted at the web site. You can even download and print the manual if you like.

Good luck with your new bike.
