Cannot access pics

My camera shows a count of 757 pictures. I can only access about 200. The counter on the LCD screen shows 100-757. I am missing the remaining pictures. Can I get those back?

Once you took pictures without a memory card, all pictures taken will automatically be saved on the INTERNAL MEMORY of the camera.
When taking pictures with a memory card, all pictures are just saved on the memory card itself.
If you are seeing 100-757 on the LCD screen. It means that there are already 757 pictures taken from the first time you've used the camera.
It is possible that some of the pictures are in the internal memory and some are in the memory card.

STEPS to DOUBLE CHECK:
1) Remove memory card out of the camera
- Turn on camera
- View pictures on the internal memory
by just pressing on the PLAY mode button
(lowest of the 3 little buttons)
- Pictures seen are just the ones saved on the internal memory

2) Return memory card back in the camera
- Turn on camera
- View pictures on the internal memory
by just pressing on the PLAY mode button (
lowest of the 3 little buttons)
- Pictures seen are just the ones saved on the memory card itself

*** If you want to transfer pictures on the internal memory of the camera to your MEMORY CARD, you just have to follow the steps below:
- Make sure there is a memory card inside the camera
- Turn on camera
- Press on PLAY mode button to view pictures
- Press MENU/OK button
- Keep scrolling to the right until you see COPY TO CARD
- Select YES using the arrow keys
- Press MENU/OK to confirm
* When you've done these steps, all pictures from the INTERNAL MEMORY of the camera will be copied to your MEMORY CARD but it depends on the space left on your memory card

** If still, you could not view the pictures, it's possible that the pictures are really gone when you have transferred the previous pictures to your computer.

** Once you have transferred pictures to your PC, and you have deleted those on your camera, the FILE NAME of the pictures will not start from 100-001 again unless you have reset the file name on the settings of your camera.

In example, i already have 256 pictures on my camera so the filename reads 100-256 for the last picture taken. And then i decided to transfer those 256 pictures to my PC and i deleted those immediately after being transferred. So, as i took another picture, FILENAME will start with 100-257 if i have not reset
the FILE NAME settings to 100-001.

Hope i've helped you enough.

Reset Fujifilm finepix digital camera 5.1

There is a factory reset function in the menu. If you want to reset the frame count, ie, frame number full then you need to format your memory card, switch the frame count in the menu from "cont " to " renew " use the format function then take a pic. Review the pic and note the frame count in top right of screen(100 0001) frame count is reset. Switch back to " cont" in menu. Happy snapping.

Displaying the frame number starting with #1

Digital cameras don't do that. Besides, if they did, every time you tried to download your pics, the computer would tell you the pictures already exist because the numbers would be the same as the pictures you downloaded before.

What does Frame No Full mean?

If you look at the top right of your camera screen when reviewing pictures you should see the frame count. As yours is reading "Frame number full" the count should be reading 999.9999 so you need to reset to 100.0000. How to do this is posted in my tips section of my profile under "THE ONLY WAY I KNOW HOW" I have pasted the section below.
Cheers

FRAME NUMBER FULL!!

If you get this message on screen then your counter has reached 999-9999 and the camera will not take anymore pictures until you reset the counter to 100-0001.

To do this follow the instructions in your manual or read on my friends...

Firstly, make sure you have a picture card inserted into your camera and you have saved any pictures on it to your pc because you are about to format the card inside the camera and you will lose any pictures you have stored on there.

Ok. turn your camera on and press the menu/ok button and select "SETTINGS" from the menu.
Scroll through the menus until you find FORMAT. Select this and you will be asked if you would like to continue. Select OK.
Depending on how large your card is (16mb - 1,2 gb etc) will determine how long this will take but it's not very long.
After you have done this your card is now wiped clean of memory and has been formatted to be used for your cameras software.

Next, select FRAME in the SETTINGS menu and set your camera to RENEW and press OK.
Now come out of your menus and take a picture.

Review the picture taken and check the counter reading in the top right of the screen. It should now read 100-0001. The counter has now been reset.

Now go back into your menu and select SETTINGS again and scroll down to FRAME once again. Set this back to CONT (continuous) and press ok. Your camera should be reset and you can now use it.

Note: If you have more than one card you will have to reformat each card because the camera will store and recognise the frame numbers stored on the card and continue using them rather than set them to 100-0001 or will open a new folder on your card and start using this as the new one thus taking up more space on your card reducing the number of shots you can store on it

LCD screen not sharp / focusing when taking pictures

This camera is ancient by today's standards, at least 8 years old.

Your focus problem is that the back display is very low resolution, so it will never show a sharp image. 9MP should give a decent image when you view it on a computer. If not, you probably need to part with the camera. it is not worth much these days anyway.

Can not download pictures on computer- "Communication error" showing on camera display window; camera chip 2GB with 4100 pictures. Tried using another 2GB chip with less than 100 pictures in it...

Start deleting pictures base on how good they are, importance and priority. Then by trial and error delete 50 pictures, download; 100 ... 200. Finally it download ... after 10-15 seconds wait. Total pictures deleted 1700 out of 4200. So there is a limitation on this type of camera with a 2GB chip, you have to stop taking pictures and change camera
chip when the total count reach 2500 + or - 50 pictures.

Kodak CX7330. turns on but LCD screen is black and won't take a pic

It sounds like a bad connection on the ribbon cable of the LCD screen to the camera's motherboard. The fact that when you physically move the camera around and you can get the screen to then work, tells me something is loose inside.

Good luck!

Stopped taking pictures . . .

When previous pictures display fine but does not take new one directs the problem to camera mode problem. Some component is at fault in the main board which controls menu functions and display is damaged. For the solution, the main board is repaired or replaced by technician. The repair cost may run between $100 to $200 in US.
