A number of things could be wrong- bad ram, bad motherboard. a bad hard drive will still usually get you a post screen. if you are at least getting a post screen, i would look towards hard drive issues.

My laptop benq r56 work with wierd coulours white screen

Hi,

Here are some steps which you can try.

- Plug in an external monitor and check if you get the same colors on the external display.
- If you get the same display, install an updated driver for your video card. But if still the same, your video card needs to be replacement (if dedicated) or your motherboard needs to be replaced (if integrated).
- If you external display works fine then the problem is narrowed down to the LCD. Either the LCD inverter or the LCD cable is failing and needs to be checked/replaced.

Hope this helps.

I tried turning on my Joybook r45 but there is no display at all, just a screen that lights up but nothing..

Im not sure but for in some rare circumstances, especially perhaps Benq(they produce niche items as well ) there might be a load up procedure for the operating system--Consult or download theoperators manual for your model--with this manufacturer its too early to say you have no operating system but it also might be the case.

Your display is either disconnected or loose at the motherboard or the screen needs to be replaced.

Benq screen resolution auto adjust seems to auto adjust wrongly

I would recommend you to bring it back and get a new one, if its till under warranty. You cannot fix the problem on the panel buttons it looks something to do with the components in the circuit bord.
