I have a freshield vacum sealer it won't open help please it's new I read the instructions but there's no way I can open without forcing it.Elite FSN .

Most times when this problem arises with a new machine, it's because there are packing spacers on the under side of the lid that weren't removed. Pull those off and try again. sounds like a belt. Isthe smell kind of like rubber then its time for a new belt. chris

I had the same problem and just figured it out myself. Detach the clamp (attamched to the bag) from the handle. Then slide the bag out from the clamp either left or right. The cloth bag then opnes and you can replace the actual bag inside. Hope this helps.

Yes, that is the correct belt. The full part number should be 38528040. This is the correct belt and should fit your U5509/U5507.

The electronics have failed most likely. Not uncommon. If it is within the warranty period call the company ( good luck with that ) and they will send you a new one. These machines are not designed to be repaired other than brush replacement and filters, dust containers, etc.

I purchased a toastess vacuum bag sealer at Canadian Tire two months ago. I only had it about a month when the sealing wire broke. I returned it to the store and they replaced. One month later the same thing happened again, but because it is more than 30 days I can not return it to the store this time. I have misplaced my bill of sales. Where do I go from here.
