The engine is cutting out unless im giving it gas. It all the sudden came up with this problem. In fact the couple of weeks it had been running very well, And the was idling very good.

Check for vacuum leaks, old carb gaskets [rubber seals may be leaking] check your fuel filter,but it sounds like an intake air leak

You have some debri blocking a fuel port/passage. Remove and clean the carb, removing the jets and blowing out the passages. Good Luck
