My 99 yammy xjr1300 jumps out of second gear

Hi, my xjr jumps out of second gear sometimes, any ideas why? its got 50,000kms on the clock.

Unfortunatly sounds like a bent selector shaft or worn gear dogs ..,which means large sums of money to get fixed.One option is to skip second and double shift to third,Yeah it's a pain but it"s cheaper but go easy on the clutch, have some revs on the clock before the change.......Chow.
