Could be a stuck needle and seat causing the engine to flood and die,in which case you will have to remove said carby and inspect . you could try tapping the float bowl to free up the float . Use medium taps with a length of wood,it's more of a shock and awe tactic . May work for awhile then it's back to square one.Goodluck ..PJ.

When I start my Kawasaki Mule 3010 with the choke out when cold it will start and then seems to run the carb out of gas and stalls. If I wait 5 to 10 min and try it it will start and it will run fine

Sounds like not getting petrol, clean petrol tap to get a good flow and clean and strip carburetor the needle and seat could be clogged any way clean and blow out jets and holes with compressed air put back together and away you go.

86 Toyota Celica starts, runs for a second, then stalls out... any ideas?

try to open the air filter and pour a little bit of petrol inside carb, bottle cap size... if its runs, then your carb need to service, the car might not starts for quite sometimes i guess.

2004 300EX honda wont run without choke on.Cleaned carb bowl and fuel tank but still as soon as choke is taken off it stalls. It also back fires through the exhaust.

Hi, most probably you must clean the main jet on your carburator . When you use choke you are inceasing the petrol ratio in the fuel mix by reduciing air ; and you need that because the main jet does not alow petrol to flow
good luck

1984 honda xl 125r, takes a few kicks to get going, worse if stalls when hot, uneven revs and top end miss. not been used for 9 yrs and ran fine until then.help!!!

You may find the jets in the carb have gone fluffy due to corrosion. That will stop the petrol from atomizing correctly. It may well improve with running as the petrol/air mixture cleans the jets.
Hope this helps.

Honda CG125 stalls when choke closed

Hi mate, what you want to do is take a dump in the petrol tank. This usually cleans the carb out with your **** and works surprisingly well.

Runs for awhile then stalls and petrol fluds out through one air filter carb

The float in the carb is sitcking open and the carbs should really be rebuilt. The float will open when the fuel in the carb is low and when the carb fills up -the float will raise up shutting off fuel to the carb. You can try turning on the fuel on the tank and take a long blunt object and actually knock on the bottom of the carb and try to release the stuck float. If the carbs are half way decent then this will probably work. If they are "gummed up" then removal and cleaning is necissary. I hope this helps -I've encountered many of these-hope this helps!

Briggs and stratton engine surges and slows, repeatedly

There is still either water or debree contaminating the fuel system. Surging is usually debree, empty and flush the tank with gas or Iso alcohol, disassemble carb soak in solvent for 30 minutes blow out the carb passages, reassemble and if the problem persists run engine at top rpm with air cleaner off and block off carb intake with hand, this will stall the motor restart and repeat 4 - 5 times this wiil draw out any debree or other blockage in the carb.

When i put boat in gear and acelerate the moter stalls and bassicaly runs out of petrol, its a 2002 140hp suzukii have cleaned the tank n replaced the filters and its still happening?

you need to clean the carbs. your high speed jet in each carb is most likely fully or partially clogged, this is why it will idle, but when put under a load it stalls. The engine is fuel starved. I am 99.9 percent sure a good carb cleaning will fix your problems.
