Thanks for the reply. Bike is up and running... I had my brother put new shorty brake and clutch levers on and when he installed the new clutch lever he didnt put the clutch safty switch properly in its place. After 45 minutes of scratching my head I fiqured it has to be a safty switchm so i back tracked....

Is the Green light on panel "ON"? If not make sure it's in neutral. If you're positive its in neutral and the light is not on, try putting up the kickstand and pulling in the clutch and starting it. The bike either needs to be in neutral or have the kickstand up to start it in gear. There are several safety interlocks designed to keep you from starting it in gear and having it lurch forward.

Hello,I have a 2001 gsxr 600 and it was just running fine,I came out from eatting and it wouldn't make a sound! All guages light up fine, fuel pumps engaging,in neutral, push the start button and nothing!!!...

there is a fuse in the starter solenoid, check it, also try to bridge the two battery posts, to see if starter works and starts. turn off, check if bridging solenoid signal and battery pos actuates starter solenoid, if solenoid seems OK, check disasembly of starter switch, if bridging starter switch wires acuate solenoid, this will indicate if switch or wiring is responsible.

I have a 2003 gsxr 600 and it was starting up just fine until yesterday. i turn the key and i get power i hear the fuel pump running the kill switch is on its in neutral the kickstand is up and when i hit...

Since nothing is happening when you press the start button (no click or anything like that), your starter solenoid is most likely the culprit. Check the connections at the starter to ensure they are tight and corrosion free. I doubt you'll find any issues with the connections, but it doesn't hurt to check. Usually the problem will be intermittent if it is a connection problem unless the wire to the starter has been severed. Check with your dealer to see if the starter and solenoid are available separately, if not, you'll have to replace the starter as well.
