No power to the radio or antenna

Is there a fuse that powers the factory radio and the power antenna in addtion to what is in the fuse box? Where is it located?
The fusebox fuse is fine, but the radio and leads for the power antenna have no power.

How to replace a 1999 Mitsubishi diamante power antenna fuse?

Hi, fuse should be under the dash. There is a fuse box just above kick panel next to steering wheel. The other fue box is in the engine bay next to battery. Good Luck. Remember use same size fuse as replaced.

Will the radio not work if the power antenna was replaced with a NON powered antenna

This is defanitly your problem car has amp in trunk factory you have to hook your remote (blue white stripe) up to the power accessory wire wich will only come on when your key is turned back so use a light tester on wires to see which wire is not hot until key is on one power wire will stay on constantly dont use constant it will run the battery dead

I have a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. The radio does not turn off on an antenna is up. I just purchased this car and did not think to check the radio but I bought the car for a very good price. I see on...

Actually your radio/antennae are part of a package...If you are referring to the power antennae, this should stay up as long as the radio is on...it should go down when you turn off the radio or the car...The fuse box would not be any part of this problem...I assume you still have the factory Delco radio in the dash...these are very reliable, and also can be replaced very just a few bucks...easy installation...Hope this helps.

What does fuse called radio-b do?

If your unit has digital display as most do now, RADIO-B will supply constant power to power the units memory so it can remember the preset channels, starting volume etc. The power antenna is usually controlled by a separate wire from the unit (normally blue) this wire supplies a low voltage signal to the antenna, The antenna will also have its own power supply and earth at the base of the antenna, the problem could be there. depending on the antenna, some have a controlling relay that is separate, again another possible source. there will also be a fuse in the main fuse box. These will all need to be checked, along with connecting a power source to the antenna to ensure the antenna does actually work.

My 1994 geo tracker 2 door auto runs great all the light work but the radio doesn't.

The least costly problem would be the radio fuse located in your Tracker fuse box/block. You can see a visual of the fuse box location in your owners manual. Next would be someone has switched out the radio at some time and did not reconnect the power line. As the radio does not light up at all, this is a power radio problem...if your radio light up but does not play, it could be your antennae is not plugged in to the back of your radio. If you have to remove the radio, there are many good radio shops that should test your radio for power, for free...Best Buy is usually helpful. Hope this helps.

Installing stereo in chevy s10 pickup now my gauges aren't workign

Did you disconnect the stereo wires you'd hooked up and see if everything went back to normal? It's easy to connect some custom equipment to the wrong wire. Depending on the stereo you installed, there would probably be 3 wires that are battery positive at any time, and at least one ground wire. There's a wire that's "hot" all the time that provides power to keep the station memory and clock, etc., set. Then the wire that actually powers the radio when you turn it on. The other wire would be hot FROM the radio when oyu turn the radio on, and it's meant for cars that have an electric antenna so the antenna raises automatically when you turn the radio on. If you connect either one of those wires to the wrong wiring harness wire, you can have power to something at an inappropriate time. The best thing to do (without cutting the harness wires) is to use the proper power leads in the factory wiring harness. Otherwise, if you look at your truck fuse-box diagram, you should see that one fuse is marked like "constant battery". I think that will be the fuse towards the front of the truck in the very bottom row of fuses. The wire for your station memory/clock can go to that fuse. The fuse towards the BACK of the truck in that same row is "radio/ignition". THAT fuse only sends power when you turn the ignition switch on or to accessories. Use it for the radio power. If you don't have an electric antenna, don't bother with that wire. To wire straight to a fuse, you need to determine which leg of the fuse power comes in on, then strip about half an inch from the wire and wrap it around the leg of the fuse that goes in the OTHER side. That way your system is protected by the fuses. If/when all that is done, you may have blown a fuse or relay in the big box under the hood on yop of the left fender-well. Let me know if you need help still, but as this problem is 4+ months old, I imagine you fixed it already. [email protected]

My antenna in my 1987 camaro won't let down and it's draining my battery. where is the fuse box located so i can take out the fuse

I believe the antenna is powered thru the stereo, so you'd have to pull the radio fuse. You can unplug the antenna motor.

My Honda Accord 1995 radio will not turn on. I have checked all appropriate fuses both in the interior and under-bonet fuse boxes and they are all good. The CD stacker still gets power so that the disk...

You have to remove the radio and check the power going into the radio to make sure it is getting power. There is an internal radio fuse which you can't check without taking the radio apart. Likely the source is the radio. Checking for current to the radio will determine if the source is the radio or not. If radio does not power up, antenna will not rise.
