disconnect the shift linkage from the transmission , rotate the shift arm by hand untill you find nutral.......have some one hold the shift lever in the nutral position, then adj the trunion nuts back and forth until it can be put back into the shift arm........if the unit is diffucult to shift then it has rusted up the shifting fork on the inside of the transmission, no parts will be needed but complete dissasembly of the trans and a good cleaning will do the trick. hope this steers you in the right direction
You can't get gears > as in your foot shift lever won't allow you to change gears or as in "I busted two different gears and I can't find new parts"?
.
If it's parts then ask around for a local motorcycle junk yard. If it is the shift lever the problem is a bent shift fork or two. Replacing shift forks is not a job for a novice. It is a major repair requiring the engine be removed then torn down and reassembled.
