Run some carburetor cleaner through the system to remove any dirt which may be interfering with the carbdiapharms............Let idle for 15 to 20 min before trying acceleration.........Hope this helps you out.
You want to use anti freeze that does not have silica particles in it. Like GM Dexcool just about every manufacturer of motorcycles sells an OEM anti freeze with no silica (abrasive) in it.
My Shadow does this as well, and I've read on some of the Shadow forums that other people have noticed this with their bikes too, so I don't think it's a "problem" so much as poor tank design.
