Hi, the standar for the air/gas screw is 1 & 1/2 turn out from total screw in. Start from there and then you only need minor adjustments. As for the 5 min ride and then nothing, check you fuel suply, start with the buoy level inside the carb.

Make sure you have ignition spark and just wer yhe tip of the plug with gas. Puttting gas in the cylinder is too rich and will add to you problem. Good Luck
Initially, check for pulsating voltage on the black/yellow wire from the magneto to the ignition coil. Additionally, temporarily disconnect the black/yellow wire to the ignition switch.
