old post but is a tricky feature, never posted here.
prizm = toy corolla.
so the operators guide is more easy to find.
4 0 million corolla's made, a world record.
and means facts on it not rare.
page 16 covers this, and has a special switch there,
to prevent what you are attempting.
per this drawing.
"This system deactivates the lock release
lever so that things locked in the
trunk can be protected.
1. Push down the security lock levers
to lock the rear seatbacks.
On vehicles with built-in child restraint,
only the left seatback has a lock lever and
can be lowered. The right seatback cannot
be folded down.
After locking the rear seatbacks, try folding
them down to make sure they are securely
locked, otherwise, someone could
get into the trunk by folding down a rear
seat."
so if your car has this feature. and is ENABLED>
only locksmith can help you.
drive there and get it cured.
easy no?
now page 16b, with out this feature.
so we cant really answer, as we dont really know which car you have option wise. but i answered you, both ways.
Why not buy the operators guide and not be in a fix NEXT time.
yah think?
