How to take off a speedo drive from a honda cbx 750

If its similar to my 87cbrf1 my speedo cable routes down to the left fork and you"ll see the cable enter a black plastic piece one end having a screw, the inner cable tangs match the inner axle tangs while locked in place... you can spin the front wheel and watch the speedo react. Now to take it out all's you'll have to do is unscrew the holddown screw and pull the cable assembly back out. very easy. i just hope yours is mounted on the fork and not on the valve cover because im not too familiar with that type.hope this helps you out! can i get somefeedback.. only if it does help...thanks!
