Question about 1996 Suzuki VS 1400 Intruder
The turn signal and brake light have stopped working. I had a power surge that blew out all the lights I replace all the lights and still no turn signal or brake light. What could be the problem the fuse is ok. @
Hi, Dlamuir for this scenario you will need your service manual, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

Check the rear bulbs. If they are working (brakes+lights) check the wires. For the turn signals, override the flasher relay. If they are coming on then you need to replace the relay. If not then check the left hand side clip on switch.

This is either a ground issue or 2 separate problems. Check the tail bulbs there should be 2 filaments in them unless they are LED. In the case that they are led Check the grounds and the fuses.

Did you also check the system fuses? The fuse box is located behind the left side crankcase cover above the coolant reservior.
The 15 amp Signal fuse protects the coolant temperature light, the turn signal indicator light, the neutral indicator light, the oil pressure light, horn, brake/taillight, postition light and turn signal light. Basically, if this fuse is blown, your cluster will be inop.
Please let me know if this is helpful.
