There is not much to adjust. Leave the float levels alone, they are set at the factory, leave alone the sliding needle adjustment too. All you have left, is an idle screw, and an air screw. adjustment for the air screw, turn all the way in till it stops, then 2 full turns out. mabey more , mabey less, listen for best idle. Then adjust your idle speed, thats it.

2001 cr80 going through lots of plugs on fresh rebuild 4hrs on it was running 32-1 for 1st 2hrs now running 40-1 not sure if i need to adjust idle or could it be the coil or cdi

buddy run the bike onh 40:1 and on the carb will be a screw the mixture screw turn this in and unscrew it 1 turn out and try this i had this problem with my kx85 which i just blew the big end on so i cant race for a while get back to me if not ok also run the br8eg plug in it b873c5a.jpg

RM85 w/ 105 kit bogs down with rapid throttle onset rate

hi buddy set the needle clip to its normal condition and also on the carb is the mixture screw you need to turn this all the way in and out 1 turns and try this you will always get a bog if you rev fully too quick i had this problem with my kx85 and it was just this hope this helped mate i will send the pic in a mo
