Chineese scooter NEED HELP!!!! ok i have a 150cc chineese scooter brand new engine less than 100 miles when i takwe short 6 to 10 mile trips its great no issues runs great today i had to go on a long 30 mile trip first 20 miles bike ran just fine then it started light white smoke coming from around side of engine and top area engine didnt sound quite as quiet power was the same but on the last 10 miles of trip i was cruising at 45mph and it started to bog like it got no fuel just dropping speed and when you throttle you get no speed then it gets to 25 mph and kicks back in and starts going again and it did it over and over then you pull over turn it off let it sit for 5 min and it will go again just fine then a few minutes later it does it again any ideas

well white smoke is the sign of water

assuming you did not hit any puddles then I have to assume you have water in the fuel which make sense...

the longer you drove the lower the fuel level and the more it miked with the water

try some products like "dry gas" or "heat"

hey last question i just looked at it and noticed the hose from the valve cover that goes to the air box was disconeccted had fallen off or blown off would that make a problem like this?

Change the fuel filter and check the inside of the fuel tank for any obstruction. It sounds to me something is blocking the fuel feed in the tank. Also water in the tank will cause these symtoms. If you can not find anything wrong and it runs better with a fresh fill up it was water in the tank. Fuel stations all have water in their tanks underground. If their tanks are low when you purchase fuel you will encounter water in your tank. The white smoke is caused by water in your case

if the gy6 engine was actually overheating would it cause it to bog like that and die and then restart 5 min later or would it have differnt symtpoms

Is it worth buying a 2012 velocity Gas scooter 150cc with 154 miles in mint condition for $800? (I think that's retail price)
