2005 Boulevard C50: can you put synthetic oil in a suzuki boulevard c5...

Can you put synthetic oil in a suzuki boulevard c50 with the wet clutch... Or will it make the clutch slip?

I tried in mine... I had noises coming from the front and thought it was my front wheel bearings; changed them out but still had the noise. Spoke to a buddy and we found it was the Clutch slipping... If you want to use synthetic; wait until you need to replace the clutch and start then, you should have no issues after that...SMH

As long as the oil does not have the "energy saving" designation in the rating emblem, synthetic work just fine in the Boulevard.

I found FPRs for boulevard c50 on ebay for $ 50+ #20 for shipping from poland. You have to wait but it beats having to pay $500 for the who unit.

Is the motor oil also the transmission fluid or is there a seperate tranny fill? 05-Suzuki Boulevard C50

One and the same- that is why, if you use an oil that is not motorcycle-specific, make sure that it does not have the "energy saving" label in the grade rating emblem. I have run Shell Rotella, both dino and synthetic, for most of the 32K of my Boulevard.
