That gray wire is the fuel pump power supply . You cut the wire were an positive tested it ??? An what does that mean . you positive tested it ? Wish you people would learn to talk like a mechanic would ! If you cut the wire near the relay an checked with a ohm meter or a test light with B+ volt , of couse it going to show ground ! It's going through the fuel pump windings to ground on the other side . What fuse keeps blowing ?ECM B - 20 amp ? This powers the fuel pump as well . May not even be the fuel pump circuit blowing the fuse . You need to find everything that fuse powers and isolate the different circuits . Videos on youtube showing how to find a short .

At the fuel pump relay you should have 1 full time hot wire. 1 hot wire when you turn on the switch. 1 ground, and the other wire goes to the pump. Test the ground to be sure it is good. If so then jump a hot to the one that goes to the pump and see if it runs.If it does then you have a bad relay or ECM. You can swap the relay with another of the same # from tour fuse box to test it.There is also a ground on top of the frame near the filler neck, check it too. Good Luck

Does the Van Crank over?
Have you checked the IGN Relays? 1,2,and 3?
How did the Battery test out?
Anything below 11.9v battery is dead.
So I suggest that you do not throw any more parts and check the battery again.

SOURCE: no fuel to the throttle body i have replaced the

It could be the power wire to the pump. Try running a power wire from the battery to the pump. It should turnm on for a few seconds and shut off until you start the truck. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 1997 Suburban, cranks, won't start. Removed fuel

The oil pressure gauge on the engine runs the fuel pump until the engine receives full oil PSI and shuts off. Upon that time the relay takes over for the fuel pump

I have a 1997 Audi A4 ( 1.6 gasoline enigne). My fuel fuse keeps blowing after having driven anything between 3-7 kilometers. If I remember to reduse my RPM (to and idle throttle RPM) by applying the...

check to ensure that the fuse you are using is adequate for the current draw of the fuel pump. Place an ammeter in the power line to the fuel pump and read the amps drawn then rev it up and see if the current increases. Check the alternator for correct charge rate .

Ecmb fuse keeps blowing on my 99 s-10 put new fuel pump in about a month ago and worked great since then but today it shut off and blew the fuse again not sure what to look for.

Well that circuit powers the memory for the computer as well as the fuel pump relay and other things.
You might be able to pull the pump relay and see if the fuse still blows, it will be tough to find the problem if it is at random times.
You'll probably need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams to trace it.

1997 GMC Sierra, I keep blowing the ECM 1 fuse, I replaced Fuel Pump relay and Fuel Filter. Does the ECM 1 Fuse Pump the Fuel Pump, also disconnected the Fiter turned on the key and no fuel.

ecm1 is injectors not fuel pump ecm-b is fuel pump its more likely to be a faulty relay for the injectors, it would be a similiar design to this
12900_oil_sending_unit_and_fuel_pump_circuit_80-yoo05im5qhid2i2poe1uh03c-5-0.gif this is for the fuel system, relay for the injector is nearly the same.

1997 yukon, keep blowing ECM - 1, 20 amp fuse under hood . I had replace fuel pump a few months back, could it be a bad connection on the fuel pump?

i would check wire harness for bare wire but first i would look under that massive fuse box under hood, i kept blowing air cond relay and i traced it back to corroded connection on that fuse. not saying this is it and i hope it is that simple for you. other than that research exactly what the ecm-1 CONTROLS and search, test, grounds those systems. If i can come across any other symptoms i will forward them to you.

Keeps blowing fuel pump fuse. Why?

This normally happens due to short in the wirings.Or if someone has connected a stereo or some other electrical contrivance to the wiring harness (bundle), either under the dash or under the hood.To confirm this unplug the fuel pump wiring connections and insert new fuse. Then start the car and see,if still the fuse blows then its a short in wiring. But if the fuse does not blows then its faulty fuel pump relay or faulty fuel pump itself. So first replace the fuel pump relay and see,if the fuel still blows then its faulty fuel pump. But if the fuse not blowing then relay was the faulty part. The fuel pump relay located on the fuse box under the hood.---------This troubleshooting tips will help you locate the fault and solve it.-------Thanks.Helpmech.

Have problem with no 6 fuse grey wire, 20 amp keeps burning and everything goes dead, motor wount even start.

Sounds to me like a short to ground in the circuit somewhere. When a fuse blows, especially one of that kind of rating, there's a problem. Perhaps look to see if you can visually confirm whether there are any spots where the wiring harness to the fuse box has rubbed through. This can happen on a sharp corner or something metal in the engine compartment. Only other thing I can think of at this point is, perhaps, a problem with the fuse box or relay box itself.

I have a short in the wires for the fuel pump keeps blowing fuses when you move wires connected to the relay just put in a new fuel pump thinking that was the problem. where can i get a wiring diagram to...

The problem may actually be in the fuel pump relay itself. The windings of the relay which create an electromagnetic field when energized, may be shorted and/or creating a high current draw, thus blowing the fuel pump fuse repeatedly.

I hope this helps! :)
