You probably have a little brake dust on the rear brake rotor and pads. I'd get a can of brake cleaner (about 4 bucks) from your local Autozone.

Spray the rotor with a coat of it, but be careful not to get it on the pads, let it dry for a few minutes, and then take the bike for a spin out in some stop and go traffic so you'll have use the brakes.

Hopefully this should clean all the brake dust off really good, and eliminate further squeaking.

2014 Chevy Cruze. The cost of front brakes and rotors please?

About Brake Pad Replacement Please note: Pricing shown is for either front brakes or rear brakes. Made of ceramic, organic or metallic material, brake pads squeeze against the brake disc rotors to slow the vehicle down. Every time you apply the brakes, the pads wear down a tiny bit. Eventually a wear indicator starts squeaking to tell you it's time to replace the brake pads. It's always better to replace the pads before they start squeaking, to avoid damaging the brake rotors. A mechanic can check brake pad thickness during a tire rotation or other service. The number of miles you can go before replacing the brake pads really depends on your driving style.

Is there grease nipples around wheels of caravan

Is it a brake squeak? Some vehicles have a little metal tab on the brakes that starts squeaking when they get close to needing to be replaced. When you push the brake, the sound may go away due to the pressure being applied. Check your front brake pads.

How to stop the squeaking in the rear of my jeep?

The noise could be connected to the parking brake, or it could be a loose brake pad. When you engage the brakes the pads strike the rotors and then can not move around.

Squeaking rear brake when rear brake is applied makes loud squeaking noise

brakes squeak and squeal when the pads become dirty, and their "toe-in" is not adjusted properly. The front of the pad should touch the rim or rotor first followed by the trailing edge. If it is the reverse then the brakes will chatter and squeal. As an example, stand up, look down at your feet, point your toes together and imagine you are rolling forward on your bike and your feet are the brake pads. When the calipers squeeze together, your toes should touch first and then your heels. This is the "toe-in" adjustment, thus the name.

Rear brake not responding well, minimal braking when pressure applied even when lever is all the way down?

Hi, the lever should not go all the way down, sounds like you have air in your brake system, check your brake pads, if they are ok than bleed the rear brake system, the lever should never bottom out.

Schwinn Meridian rear brake squeak. Goes away with slight pressure on hand lever. Solution? Thanks.

The brake pads should be "toe'd" in, that is, the front part of the brake pad should touch the rim first when the brakes are applied. This should only be an adjustment of 2-3mm when you look at the pad compared to the wheel rim.
Another possibility is the age of the brake pads. As they get older, they get harder and lose their pliability. Their harder surface can cause squeaking, and poorer braking performance. You can try sanding them down with coarse sandpaper as a stop-gap, but for the relatively low cost of new ones, replacement is a much better option.

Sharp squeaking from rt rear wheel. Might be a bearing but it stops if i apply light brake pressure

your rear brakes need servicing!!Those sqeaking noises are from metal pins within the brake pads. They touch the rotor surface when the pads are worn. Usually when brakes are applied they tend to silence the squeal. Inspect the rear brakes for pad thickness. Hopefully this helpd!!

How do i get my brake caliper to quit sticking and retract properly? I can hear my brake pad rubbing the rotor when I drive and no brake are applied.

If you can hear a squeak from the brake it is an indicator attached to the brake pad to let you know it is time to change pads. If it is not releasing you will generally have a pull to that side when driving. Disc brakes do not move away from the rotor as drum brakes do from the drum. They only apply pressure to the rotor or release pressure but stay in contact with it. The squeak is designed to keep you from running the brakes down to where the rotor would be damaged.
