This is a major job. This is the bad thing about a belt type final drive. You must remove the entire primay, outer primary cover, clutch and primary chain, starter, and inner primary. You must also remove the rear wheel and the swing arm to replace the belt. That's why the job is so expensive plus the belt itself ain't cheap. If I can help you further, let me know.

Good Luck
Steve

Need diagram to replace tension spring for drive belt

Go to the manufacturersame website, enter in the the model number and look under diagrams for the pic of your tractor. My troy Bilt has 2 belts, one for the cutting deck and the other is the drive belt. I would replace both as the cutting deck needs to be removed and it's fairly simple and will save you time. It sounds let the drive belt is the reason for the tractor not moving. Hope this helps.

My tractor is a 2007 troy Bilt super bronco with a new fresh installed motor.

I own a 2007 Harly Davidson Street Glide with the motor running n I am in 1st or 2nd gear I let off the gass I get a noise n when I engage the clutch the noise goes away

I'm not sure what you mean by "engage the clutch". If you mean when you pull the clutch lever, the noise goes away, I'd check the tension on my final drive belt. If the belt is loose, when the engine tries to slow the motorcycle down, the final drive belt tries to rise up off of the front belt pulley making it rub the underside of the starter to inner primary housing. When you pull the clutch lever in, you disengage the engine from the transmission and the engine breaking force is removed from the front pulley and the belt goes back down on the pulley.

Steps needed to change transaxle belt

lift the front of the tractor up at least 3 feet and lower the mow deck to give you clearance. push the clutch pedal and lock it down to release belt tension. remove the mower belt from the engine pulley only. remove the trans belt from the idlers about midway back then from the trans pulley & finally from the engine pulley. put the new belt around the engine shaft above the mower drive pulley but not on the drive pulley then around the trans pulley. now you can put it on the drive pulley and finally on the idlers. make sure you have it under all the various keepers or the belt will shred in like 10 minutes. release the clutch pedal & check the belt again to ensure it is in the correct place. replace the mower drive belt & ensure that didn't come off other pulleys in the process. lower the front of the tractor and test

Final Belt Drive on HARLEY DAVIDSON

Belts = quite, durable, less cost to replace.
Chain = noisy, last longer, messy oil spots on floor, good ones cost $400.00 or more, have to keep adjusted, hard to break. Im a chain man myself.
