Hi and welcome to the site,

There is no separate fuel filter for the VL, VS and VZ series. The only fuel filter is an integral part of the fuel c0ck that attaches to the tank. Inside is a tubular screen attachment that covers the fuel outlet port.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

ok mine is a vz800k2 so would that be the same and what about synchronizeing the crabs what are they suppose to be

  • Anonymous Jun 28, 2010

Yes, the fuel filter description / location would be the same.

Carb synchronization would be as it implies; it involves adjustment to both carbs so that the amount of air/fuel delivered to either cylinder through either carbs is identical. Basically, it measure the vacuum of the 2 cylinders, make necessary adjustment so that both readings would be the same whether at idle or when the throttle is opened. It requires a measuring instrument to read the vacuum and the usual screwdrivers for adjusting the carbs. Please click here to view some examples.

2000 VZ800 marauder runs mostly on one cylinder

It seems there is too much of fuel going into the non firing cylinder thus the blackish spark plug, recheck the float level to that carburater and also check the valve clearance.

2002 Suzuki Marauder VZ800 Front cylinder does not fire till bike warms up a bit?

Definately try a spark plug first. What does the old spark plug look like? ( white, oil fouled, melted, metallic?). Usually a fuel issue will make the inoperable cylinder very hot. Might have a loose valve guide in the head, or a bent valve.

Gas leake from Air vent hose ( rear carburator) Suzuki Marauder VZ800 2002

If you mean that fuel runs out of one of the vent lines, note that one of those lines is for overflow from the carb bowl. If this is what is happening, you might have corrosion or dirt making your float needle stick, and overflow fuel to that carb. It needs to be cleaned out by removing the bowl, float and float needle.
