Hi,need a little help.Just installed a 1988 kx80 motor in a 1984 kx80.should i use the cdi on the bike or the one that the newer motor came with?If i use the newer cdi does the solid orange wire go to the coil?and where would the black wire with white stripe go. thanks

go to your local honda dealer or a good library and look up the exact make and model of your bike and get the plug wiring code for the cdi,most bikes i know aere different from each other in the cdi wiring,if you get it wrong the first time,you will fry the cdi and they are quite expensive to replace..hope this helps
hi mate replace wires/cables and put another spark plug in it could be spark plug fouling and try the cdi in another kx80 also replace hd lead from coil to sparky
