I have a Jenny Lind crib manufactured by Childcraft and purchased in 1981. Are the mechanisms of this product included in the recent recall of drop side cribs?

If you have the model number usually on the bottom of the crib, if it is
one of the Jenny Lind make you will need to know the date it was made
that is on the same spot. You may find it in Jenny Lind, but it depends if the crib is still
replaceable or not. It all depends on their product replacement parts
policy.
Keep in mind that "Jenny Lind" is actually a style name
used by several different manufacturers. Although we can service most
of the U.S. made cribs and cradles, it is very helpful to know who
originally made the crib or cradle. "Jenny Lind" is not a manufacturer.
A Jenny Lind crib is a style I believe. There are and were many manufactuers of this style. Simmons Juvenile products used to make these but I believe they are out of business.Evenflo currently makes a Jenny Lind crib. You can buy/or use, used Jenny Lind cribs but it is strongly advisable that you don't. Older baby beds don't comply with today's safety standards; if you are buying/using a baby crib you may even be unknowingly buying one that was the subject of a recall. If you do go ahead a by a used one make sure it has JPMA certificate. Try to find the serial number somehwere and check for recalls. You can find a new bed for less than $100.00 new, that might be lot easier and safer than finding the parts.
I did not see this jenny lind crib on recall for evenflo. Here is a link http://safety.evenflo.com/cs/sc/cssc_RD.phtml/ There is a number you can call as well that should be able to look up this model and tell you if there is a recall or not aswell. Here is some additional information as well. Register and track products For your convenience, we have added a new online system to register Evenflo products for safety campaigns. Only the status of safety campaigns for products above can be tracked online. If the status of any other safety campaign is needed, please contact the Evenflo ParentLink Department at 1-800-233-5921. For a full listing of safety notifications for all other childcare product manufacturers, please visit the following websites: NHTSA (National Highway Traffic & Safety Administration) CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission)
Their website says that there have been no recalls of their cribs. See here: http://www.milliondollarbaby.com/safety_facts
