this may mean it is too rich, make sure the air filter element is new and change the oil which can get contaminated by fuel. some new spark plugs may help
There is obviously other reasons but start with these simple things.
I use an upper cylnder lubricant, and seems to help my bikes start hot and cold, dont really know why
The design of the bike is what makes this difficult. Your airbox is located under your seat and feeds the carburetors via the backbone of the bike. The air passage is basically in the middle of the fuel tank and connected to the carburetors in the center of the V of the engine, which are a downdraft design. Unless you can create a new intake tract from the side of the bike to the carburetors, you cannot mount a hypercharger on this model. All of the models I am familiar with mounting a hypercharger on already have their airbox located on the side of the motor, so it is not a big deal to change.
If the bike was wrecked cheking the frame is simple, look for any paint popping off, especially around the neck where the fork attaches, if the paint is popped the frame is bent, if not the frame is good.
Replace the spark plug caps and try again. On Honda's the cap is often part of the wire (a dealer part) NGK makes some inexpensive plug caps about $5 each. They should OHM out to 5000 anything above or below and you need to replace them. This should fix the problem.
I doubt the bike has 100k on it, thats alot of riding! If it runs and looks good just figure it is a typo and ride it. As far as the oil filter that bike uses a spin on filter, it is painted black, screws on the front of the engine just above the oil pan just to the right of center.
