I have loose rubber tubes hanging from the bike, any Ideas to what there for or where they should go? I just bought a 82 suzuki gs650.

One will be for the battery venting (connects to the vent connection on the battery), another will be a vent tube for the fuel tank. Any others may be vent tubes for the crankcase.

Have an '82 GS550L that has been leaking gas from the left and left center carbs whether it's running or parked. Tore it apart, nothing was stuck and seems to be functioning the way it should. Not sure...

I think you are on the right track. If manually lifting a float stops the flow of gas I would suspect bad floats. Remove a float and shake it. Anything inside? It should be lite as a feather. It looks like Babbitts has them in stock for a 550M. It should be the same part for a 550L. Please rate my answer. Thanks! www.babbittsonline.com

Do all three gas lines from carb connect together and lead to gas tank

2 lines are vent lines, make sure they are unpluged , and clear. the other is the fuel line that runs to the petcock, and one from the petcock to the front of the carb near center of motor, this is a vaccuum line witch allows the petcock to open , and let fuel flow in the off position from tank to carb. hope this helps
