Check the battery. Is it charged? Also does the neutral light go on?
If not check the neutral switch.
The neutral switch is behind the engine case near the rear shock and has one wire. Make sure the bike is in neutral or on stands. Remove the one wire and put it to earth/chassis/ground (somewhere metal on the bike). The neutral light should come on and you should be able to start the bike if that was the problem.
You have a bad switch somewhere - either the clutch switch in the clutch lever or the kickstand switch is bad. Of course I had a blast that had a sloppy connector at the back of the key switch that did all of the above too.
Hey, When that happened to me I took the bike half apart and it ended up being the Kill switch. Try rocking it back and forth also if you have contact cleaner flood the switch and let it dry then give it a light spray of wd-40. also check the start switch to be sure it is making contact, bike is in Neutral and the kick stand switch is also working.
Check the fuses. Next, check for spark. If no spark then check again but with a new plug. Is the kill switch on? Does the side stand have a kill switch? Is it working properly? Tip-over kill switch on your bike? Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter. Check the loom. Did a wire come unplugged? Are all wires clean and with solid connections? Any abraded or pinched wires? Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up? If no neutral light, check the neutral switch and neutral switch wire on center casing. With a little luck this will get you back on the road. Please rate this answer. Thanks
