Triumph 650 Daytona Motorcycle: Instrument panel shows "Lo", also brand new batteries go dead in matter of 3hrs. Entire digital Instrument panel flashes on an off when bike wont start. Breaking one terminal from battery connections with the key in off position shows no arc and have connected an amp meter in series with open terminal and battery post indicates no load with key in off position.

So your saying that if you unhook the battery it will stay charged ??. One thing that can cause a drain is the altenator. If your showing no drain amp draw with everything hooked up and key off then the most likley cause is the charging system. If you unhook a suspected component and the problem goes away then you found the problem.

Are you familiar with the "Lo" indication on the instrument panel? is this coolant temp, oil pressure, coolant level?
What about the flashing digital instrument panel? The bike ran and started fine with a new battery installed, then couple of hrs later when turned key on, the panel flashes at you and the battery is too dead to start. What is the flashing instrument panel telling you?

Let me clarify the sequence of events
    Installed new battery
started bike, runs and sounds fine at idle, but digital instrument panel flashing
Shut bike off, pulled key, inserted key, started bike,
    entire instrument cluster flashing
Tachometer (dial-Not digital) indicating zero with bike running.
shut down bike, tried to restart and battery acted dead, bike would not turn over.

2004 Triumph DAYTONA 600 electrical part

Hello,
This is an old thread but we found the answer after checking if a part no was correct....
The box is an O2 controller for a Dynojet Power Commander kit.
It is used to bypass the sensor that fits into the exhaust to allow full ECU performance/fuel modifying.
Part no 66391201 is also the same compatable part as 76125003 and is used in certain other Dynojet kits. (Daytona 600)
Hope this may help any other Triumph owners with the same question. :)
