I want to convert my FE650 motard to enduro so what's required.

Near the battery. The main fuse is designed to protect the entire electrical system. so it mounted as close to the battery as the vehicle will allow.

To keep a battery charged you require several things, source coils and magneto (on end of crankshaft) leads from which should go to a rectifier/regulator, ignition coil and the cdi unit or black box. Leads from the black box and magneto should trace back thru' a fuse to a battery if a battery is required. However, Enduro lighting and ignition systems were developed without batteries in mind mostly.

You may have supermoto wheels on a speedo that is set up for enduro wheels or vice versa. I had the same problem myself. A quick visit to my local dealer and £5 later the problem was fixed.

When you start it up the bottom of the speedo will flash up either "motard" or "enduro" depending on which setting it is running on.

A motard or supermoto is the on-off or enduro bike that you install 17 inch wheels along with street tyres,brakes and suspension adjusted for street use.

Motard wheels check out your KTM dealers oz wide as they were giving away Motard wheels with new 530 last year an some might still have stock. I am just in process of fitting Motard Kit I got from local dealer you will need to get a Digital speedo from a later model EXC as the 2000 520 has an analog an won't fit with Motard Wheels.

It's possible that you are checking the spec for not having changed the filter. A fresh filter will require more oil. My $.02 - If it's in the marks, it's good to go.,,,
