The battery in your bike is under the fuel tank.
There are two M6 nuts at each side near the back of the seat. You need a 10mm wrench or socket to remove them, then carefully disconnect the wires on each side of the seat base and lift the back of the seat and slide it back out of the frame.
You then need to remove both side covers and remove the tank hold down bolts and disconnect the fuel supplyand return lines. The tank will then lift up and slide back. The tank vent lines will have to be disconnected as well. Work carefully and try to remember the routing of the vent lines to the evap canister. If you mix up the vent lines, gas can ruin the canister and cause problems in future.
You will now see the battery..... make sure to clean the terminals and apply dilectric grease.... tighten securely.
Good Luck!
