SOURCE: TRANSMISSION

Have the codes checked for the drivetrain. They should tell you if you need a sensor, or a transmission.

Sounds like the starter relay is bad. Lay a screwdriver across the two poles and see if it starts. If the bike turns over, that's your problem

It sounds like the front pump had gone bad and you don't have any transmission line pressure from the pump. A long story short, your going to have to get the transmission rebuilt at this point. Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted.

2006 trailblazer has a loud whining sound coming from the rear. When i accelerate it gets louder. took it to the dealer they said it was the rear brakes and rotors. but i don't believe that is the problem.

Manufacturer : GENERAL MOTORS CORP.

Service Bulletin Num : 030417002 Date of Bulletin: DEC 01, 2006

NHTSA Item Number: 10001111

Component: POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY

Summary: WHINE NOISE FROM REAR AXLE. *TT

I just went through the same problem with my SS. It had 3000 miles on it and it was whinning while turning either left or right. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the entire rear axle. I am not the first person that I know to have this problem. I was told that there was a problem with some of the rear ends and I have had no further problems since having mine replaced.
Thank you for using Fixya and good luck

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 2 w/d rear end blowing oil out front

The input shaft, gears, seal, and differential are likely toast. The normal rear end lubrication is 90 weight gear lube, not Mobil1 engine oil. The cheapest repair may be a replacement rear end from a wrecking yard--not easy in any situation. The 'whine' that you originally had could be insufficient lubrication or the ring and pinion gears could have been worn or mis-aligned. Worn bearings can also cause this problem. Hope this helps!

"whining" coming from front of engine

With the vehicle running, take a long screwdriver and place the metal end on the alternator housing. Cup your hand around your ear and place on the handle of the screwdriver. Listen for strong whining noises. If nothing, repeat the same procedure for all components you can safely get to that is powered by your serpentine belt. Chances are, the whining is coming from worn bearings on a component such as an alternator, water pump, etc.
