Probably too much fuel/bad fuel. If it hase catalisator and lamda sond on it, maybe it's giving bad information to computer. Alsow it coule be bad injector or some other electrical problem....

Interesting.
If you eliminate engine issues then it becomes transmission.
I would start by changing the spark plugs and draining/flushing the fuel system. Run some carb/injector cleaner additive.
If there is ANY mechanical noise associated with the problem then you may have an issue with gear engagement dogs in the transmission.

The knock sensor is used to detect engine vibrations caused by preignition or detonation and provides information to the ECM, which then retards the timing to eliminate detonation.Here's a link on how to test and replace.Here's the sensor.
Ok the knock is your flex discs on the drive shaft are bad along with the carrier bearing. Replace before you get stranded or it comes loose.
Fuel distributor may need work if it is hard to start when warm, Replace OVP relay by battery also, its always an issue.
Have you checked the fuel filter ? Some are in line others are in the tank petcock. I am Not familiar with that model but it sounds like it's a fuel issue.
