It may have to be takin apart and put in a solvent to remove varnish--are u sure the jetting procedure was done rite-thats a sensitive task-may be runnin to lean which can fry the engine valves--do u have a shop jet manual for that model

No I dont, what I did find though was one of the floatts was flooded with petrol due to having a pin hole in it.

thinc u may hav something there cause that could be messing up the float level setting which is the most important for carbs--a manual will show how to measure the level

As far as I know the fuel is vacuum fed to the carbs, did you take the fuel tank off & forget to connect all the pipes going to it? One is the vacuum pipe for the carbs.

If I do full headers and exhaust on my 08 Suzuki gsxr 600, do I need to do additional upgrades

Hello,

Yes, your carbs will have to be tuned to your exhaust - this, usually, means upgrading the needles/seats in your carbs. I bought a Cobra exhaust system for my Suzuki (earlier model) and it came with the upgrade kit for my carbs.

Some people are happy adjusting the jets out further and living with poor fuel mileage, fouling plugs and lousy performance.

Do some research by calling your parts dealer and ask them if they have the carb kit for the exhaust you are wanting to buy. I use one of two online dealers; Bike Bandit or Old Bike Barn

Hope this helps. If you find this information useful, please vote on this post. Thank you.

2007 shadow vlx 600. push starter button, makes a

Take a piece of wire or a screw driver and short the terminals on the solenoid. If the starter works you have a bad solenoid. If you hold the starter button and tap the starter with a plastic hammer and the starter works, you need new starter brush's.If you take the starter apart and do not have continuity between every other armature contact, just buy a new starter and put it in.

My oil smells like gas on my 2005 gsxr 600 i just bought

hi,if the bike is a carb model, you may have a leeking float needle seal, this is quite common, basically if the float needles leak they will allow fuel to flow unchecked into the carb, ultimately flooding the carb, the fuel then runs down the inlet manifold and into the sump, hope this helps...cheers

Bought a 1995 suzuki gsx600f and can't get started. does anyone know which way the petcock needs to face for reserve right, left, or down? thanks

I have a 1990 GSXR1100. If it's the same as mine, which it probably is, then as u r looking at it REServe should b to the left. RUN str8 down and PRIme on the right. The petcock has small writing on it to indicate this.
