In order to better help you with the bike, more info is needed... does it have good compression? does it have a good spark plug? is it getting good spark? is the air fliter clean? is the carb clean? is fuel getting into the carb? is fuel getting into the cylinder? after kicking several times can you smell gas as if it were flooding? did you kick it over a few times and pull the plug out (QUICKLY) to see if its wet with fuel? does it look like there is any condensation on the plug after kicking it over several times? go thru all this info, and please let me know what you find and if this helps you.

I can push start it been fine first kick it would start right up i went out to the shed today and went to kick it and it would not kick over ??? i took the plug out and cleaned it still nothing ??

have you cleaned the carb out? also check for compression by taking out the plug and putting your finger in the hole and kicking the bike your finger should be gently sucked into the hole

failing all that check the air filter maybe its blocked

hope this helps

Kdx 200 clutch not engaging properly

The clutch in your bike is a wet clutch. There is a lot of hyrdostatic friction even when the clutch is released completely. I think a large factor is the type, age and condition of oil. Perhaps something as simple as an oil change would help.

My kick start lever ? When I push down it does no engage. I have to slowly push down a couple times till it grabs. Then I can kick start it. Is this something easy to fix. Can I do it ? I went to a dealer...

I HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE ALSO, AND YES IT IS A PAIN TO FIX. YOU NEED TO RIP THE SIDE OF THE ENGINE APART AND REPLACE THE GEARS THAT ARE WORN OR BROKEN

We have an 1985 kdx 200 2 stroke and where do the floats need to be set at it floods itself everytime you try to start it

the floats may be damaged
try to level the floats with the base of the top part of the carby and see how you go .
you may have to try a few times until you get it right .
Check your needle point too as it may be stuck as well .
