Hello,
Yes, your carbs will have to be tuned to your exhaust - this, usually, means upgrading the needles/seats in your carbs. I bought a Cobra exhaust system for my Suzuki (earlier model) and it came with the upgrade kit for my carbs.
Some people are happy adjusting the jets out further and living with poor fuel mileage, fouling plugs and lousy performance.
Do some research by calling your parts dealer and ask them if they have the carb kit for the exhaust you are wanting to buy. I use one of two online dealers; Bike Bandit or Old Bike Barn
Hope this helps. If you find this information useful, please vote on this post. Thank you.

yes that would work on a carbed bike but the 2008 gsxr's are fuel injected they have been for a couple of years but thanks
My bad... Apologize for that. I was in the middle of watching the Jets/Steelers game and misread your question.
You will have to remap your fuel injection system in order to accommodate the new pipes. If you don't your bike will not perform properly or it may even cause engine damage. Also, you may need to buy a power commander to make the adjustments needed to accommodate the new exhaust.
You can opt for slip-ons to cut back on costs, but you will still need to have the bike re-mapped, but you won't have the added extra expense.
Again, I apologize for briefly scanning your question.
Hope this helps.

I apologize for hastely reading the question. I was in the middle of watching the Jets/Steelers game and overlooked the year of the bike.

I shall be more observant from now on.
Hope this helps.
