What fuse are you replacing. Fuel pump? Could be the fuel pump overheating and cutting out.

Dash lights or gages on jeep grand cherokee wont work

the wires could be chewed off by mice or there could be a bad connection, also try checking the fuse to see if it is blown and if it keeps blowing then put a higher amp fuse in it.

1996 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE NO FIRE GOING TO PLUGS.

I had similar problem with my suzuki. It turned out to be a short in my wiring under hood. I found the short finally after having to replace the main computer (the short finally fried that). But with new computer it ran fine for awhile then when it shorted out again started smoking at the short

96 jeep cherokee, replace cps and the engine control fuse

The guy at the garage today, said he went out and put a fuse in it and it started right up. Thats all he did for now. I going to have a closer look on the weekend. But, as before when I went 1/2 mile it would burn the fuse again. We will have to see if it does again, I espect it will. Any idea?

1996 Jeep Cherokee Died

Likely you got lots of water in the alternator. find a way to dry it out (compressed air usually works). Then try again. Water can damage alt permanently so you may need to have it tested (on a machine, out of car). Make sure you dry everything else as well water in any system can really mess things up!!!

1996 jeep cherokee not starting

The most common cause is usually the crank sensor, but at this point I would not jump to conclusions without testing it as well as all electrical connections pertaining to the ignition system etc anyone can fix a problem by just changing everything but thats not the best way to go!

Engine Immobilser

I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6 cylinder. You might want to check the Ignition Off Draw (IOD) fuse in the Electrical Power Distribution center located in the black box located just in front of the coolant fill container on the left side under the hood. This is a 40 amp fuse, orange in color and is the orange fuse closest to the firewall. This fuse is used to put the jeep in storage if you don't plan to drive it for a while. Which would stop the current flow and not allow your battery to die. GOOD LUCK!

Jeep keeps blowing auto shutdown fuse

Yes I had the same problem. The wires that plug into the sensor at the catatytic converter were rubbing against the drive shaft untill they finally wore through causing the short against drive shaft. repaired wires and it fixed everything
