Original owner of my daytona 650, Ive been riding all day, sitting at a stop light, if my fan kicks on my gauges reset as if i just turned on the key and sometimes my speedometer doesnt work after the reset it reads zero as i ride, what i do is i get up to speed and then use the key and turn my bike off and on again and then my speedometer starts working, and my battery seems to not be charging well either, my bike is completely factory, any ideas? Thanks SSgt Trinidad

The rectifier that is within the charging/electrical system sounds like it is gone.It may not be , but from what you posted,it seems like it.Hope this helps

I have the same issue. I have recently replaced my entire charging system, but if my fan kicks off and on too many times, say in heavy traffic, I loose my speedo. I'll pull over, turn my bike off for a minute and when I start it back up, the speedo works again. I am thinking my fan is going and drawing too many amps when it kicks on??? That is my next target...

My daytona 650 05 even at 100kmp d fan still rolls at 95kmp the fan will kick in and temp will be between 104 106 and with 5 min of that the temp will shot to 123c,pls wat do i do to fix the and where

Sounds like you might have a crook head gasket there Kay
I would take it to a reputable dealer and ask for a compression test.
It might show a leak even though there is no loss of performance according to you. This is the first thing I would try.
Hope this helps you there.

Triumph Daytona 650 turns over but wont start

Do you have spark to the plugs? Do you have fuel getting to the cylinders?

I own a triumph 2005 daytona 650.could anyone tell me if the engine light, flashing oil display and oil light being apparent, is normal when turning the key,not actually starting it

Not sure about the 650, but on my 04 Daytona 600, is does the same thing, this is the engine check lights, and oil low lights being checked. IF you tried to start the bike it wouldnt, until this sefl test is complete.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Daytona 650 Is any chance the oil light is on if too much oil there?

Doubtful that is the cause.
Is the sensor faulty? Is there actually pressure there?

I have a triumph daytona 650 speedometer problem

Sorry I don't have a solution, but I have a similar problem. At idle, I run about 14.2 volts and it stays that way up to around 5k, don't go higher in my garage. Anyway, my problem is when my fan kicks on. I have seen my volts drop into the low 10's when fan kicks on. If it is hot out and I am in dealing with lots of stop and go traffic, my fan will kick on a few times...normal so far. But, if this happens too many times without a good stretch of riding in between, my speedo will kick off or go to 188 on the gauge when the fan kicks on. As soon as I pull out the RPM's increase and all is well, but sometimes, I will actually loose my speedo all together. If I shut the bike off for a minute then start it back up, the speedo works fine. Any ideas???
