It sounds like it has seized up. Hopefully just the piston rings but you will have to take the engine apart to check.
Good luck.

72cc pitbike kick start won't come back up after you kick it down ...?

mate whats happening is there is no recompression inside the engine pushing the gear to return id say you have done the gears in it and it would cost more to replace them than to replace the engine

Kickstarter is stuck 2003 Suzuki DR-Z 125 L

Rock the bike gently forward and back while shifting into fifth gear. Now push the bike forward while sitting on it and see if the rear tire turning will turn the motor. If not, your motor is stuck. If it turns, you have a kickstarter issue.
Many people never learned to depress the kickstarter down until you feel it engage before kicking it through. Kicking from the top slams the gear teeth together and causes damage. You may need to pull of the engine cover to determine if there’s damage.

The bike will not shift into gear. The clutch has plenty of spring tension just will not engage

if the bike has been sitting for a while the clutch plates can stick together, you will still feel spring tension from the pressure plate. two ways to free it up.
with the engine stopped click it up into top gear, put the front wheel against a wall, pull in the clutch, and push on the kick start, or push start it in gear, pull in the clutch and vary the throttle .
Change the oil after the ride with good motorcycle engine oil.

Thanks for all the tips on this CRF250R Honda but we are really getting tired of trying to kick start this guy, wearing us out HELP please. We tried cleaning the carb, checked plug for spark & last...

i dont know what all you have tried so far, but check the fuel filter, usally in the tank above petcock. the compression seems fine as you had to bump start it in third gear. you can feel the compression of a bike when pushing it in gear, like a bike with bad compression you could push in first without wheel locking

Engine seized?

First thing to do is make sure it's the kick starter that has seized and not the engine. Take the cover off the end of the crankcase and try to turn the crankshaft. Apparently these engines were notorious for doing bottom ends. Start pulling it down and see what you find..

Feels first gear doesn't engage from stop

About the only thing you yourself can do is to check your transmission fluid level, and replace if necessary.
Sadly you will probably need to take the car into a service center to be tested properly.
