Check the coil. Disconnect the power wire and the ground wire. Connect a loose negative wire, and connect the positive direct on the battery. Take the plug out and put it in the cap and ground the spark plug. Hold the ground wire on the coil to a clean ground nut on the frame. When you RELEASE the Ground wire you should get a spark. If you don't, the coil needs replacing. If it does, you need to start working back, CDI, Fuses, Switch.
The spark generator that sits close to the fly wheel only needs a mm gap. Make sure that this is the case. If there is a small gap there is possibly a break in the wire or the points under the fly wheel may also be rusty.
THIS QUESTION DONT MAKE SENSE SINCE THREES ONLY ONE SPARK PLUG ON A KDX 125..BUT A WEAK SPARK COULD MEAN ANYTHING IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM..CDI,STATER,WIRING LOOM,CORRODED CONNECTION SOMEWHERE...ITS HARD TO SAY WITHOUT SEEING IT..AND SYSTEMATICALLY TESTING ITS COMPONENTS..
I dont know how much you know about dirtbikes but you need to check the points. They are located under the fly wheel and they allow the engine to send a spark to the coil pack which then sends it to the spark plug. The fly wheel is under the side case, which is only held by a few screws.Once you get that off,the points,Which are under the fly wheel, just need to be cleaned off with a little sand paper. if that dosent help the spark then check the coil pack. The coil pack is the black box where the spark plug cable wire comes out of. look and see if its melted or broken in any way. If the coil is not ruined then you might need a new spark plug cable.
coil behind the fly wheel is gone!!! try the coil under the petrol tank also!!thats the cheapest one.any top coil will do the job aslong as its off a two stroke with a cdi unit and the same volts.
Do you have fresh gas in the bike? Try changing the plugs with new ones and check for spark. You can do this by putting the new plugs on the plug wire and grounding it to the head on the engine crank the motor over you should see a bright blue spark. Check one plug at a time. No spark check the ignition wires and coils. As for the oily plugs it could be they are just fouled caused by either flooding the motor while trying to start, bad plugs, week coils, bad gas, poorly adjusted carb's. I would start with the plugs and work my way back to the carbs. Still fouling the plugs after all that start checking the engine, ie compression check ect.
have you got a wiring diagram
