definitely need more information like year make model engine --old battery etc --with many vehicles the key will not come out with a dead battery --remote start also doesnt work with dead battery

From a top view there is a dot near a pin. That pin is #1 and numbering proceeds counterclockwise from 1 to 8. Pin 1 is the ground. You can see the article on Wikipedia for other info, if needed
you should at least have power to ice maker. be sure to check while depressing the light switch assy. some ice amkers are wired through door light switch.after that there should be awire guid. tech sheet under the kickplate to guide you along if needed
