I have a ccm r30 644 2004. The bike will not start i am getting fuel to the carbs but i presume its not going through to the head. I have taken spark plugs out and checked them i have also added a little fuel into head and then put spark plugs back and its fired up 1st time, but then obviously dies on me! Iam not sure where to go from there and what the next step is, any help would be much appreciated?

Dump the float bowels and inspect/ clean as necessary. consider buying an acid bath solution sold at your local parts store just for this sort of thing or carb cleaner and a toothbrush. you may need to clean your current/ buy new jets for your carbs. just try spraying starting fluid into the carbs while starting the bike by removing the air filter first and try to keep it going as long as possible this may get the juices flowing on its own. goodluck

Oil got change. Bike will not start. Change the plugs in it. Check for spark. Act like it want to start but it won't start

if theres a spark at the spark plug then your problem is with fuel. take out spark plug and pour a cap full of fuel down the hole, put plug back in and try to start it. if the bike starts you could be lucky and it will keep running. if it dose not then you need to check fuel lines and carb.... putting a bit of fuel in the head should fire the bike up and hopefully fill the carb and lines to keep it going

I think this may be another one of those faults due to the ethanol and other **** in modern fuels.
There is so much rubbish in petrol the stuff just wont keep also ther have been a lot of problems with the stuff rotting fuel lines this may be your problem, the float needle may be getting stuck by particles of fuel line.

Flooding carbs often means that the needle valve that the float is supposed to close is leaking, causing the float chamber to overflow. replace needle valves.

1996 suzuki katana not staying on after starting

If it has been sat with fuel in it for more than about 9 months, the problem is most likely to be the carbs. When fuel evaporates it leaves a gummy deposit in the float bowl. The first start can allow this to get in to the jets and cause blockages.

Cant get my 125cc motor bike going for the first time

hummm check your electrical connections make sure you have the stop run switch is in run position, you have fuel flow to the carb, make sure you are getting spark to the spark plug by using a extra spark plug remove the plug cap and ground it to the head and kick start the engine and see if you are getting spark to the plug.
hope this helps

Engine will not start, carbs cleaned, but will not fire, no petrol

Check the carb diaphrams for any tears/pinholes? (They are on the top of the carbs) Have you reconnected the breather from the tank? Is fuel getting past fuel tap? Sometimes the vent in the fuel cap can get blocked with crud and create a vacuum which stops fuel flowing.
